Paul left the ship early to pick up our two pieces of luggage from the holding area and turned them over to a shipping company who is handling the logistics of shipping them home. We won’t need the contents of these pieces for the remainder of our trip. They let him back on board the ship for our wait until disembarkation time.
We were off the
ship by 9:30 and boarded the bus for the trip to the Athens airport. We had a long wait in the lounge before
boarding our 4:30 flight to Rome. In the
Rome airport were were met by a transfer who took us to our airport hotel for
the night. Probably could have taken the
hotel’s shuttle but it is quicker and more convenient when we have the
transfers.
